AN ACT TO REPEAL CHAPTER 1140 OF THE SESSION LAWS OF 1959 RELATING TO PARTISAN PRIMARY ELECTIONS IN POLK COUNTY.

 

The General Assembly of North Carolina do enact:

 

Section 1. Chapter 1140 of the Session Laws of 1959 is repealed.

Sec. 2. It is the intent and purpose of this Act to place the Town of Columbus under the general law of this State relating to municipal elections as set forth in Article 3 of Chapter 160 of the General Statutes.

Sec. 3. All laws and clauses of laws in conflict with this Act are hereby repealed.

Sec. 4. This Act shall be in full force and effect from and after its ratification.
