AN ACT TO AMEND G. S. 153-5 TO PROVIDE FOR ELECTION OF SAMPSON COUNTY COMMISSIONERS FOR TERMS OF FOUR YEARS EACH.

The General Assembly of North Carolina do enact:

Section 1. G. S. 153-5, relating to local modifications as to terms and numbers of county commissioners, is hereby amended by adding at the end thereof a new paragraph to read as follows:

"Commencing with the election in 1960 and every four years thereafter, the County Commissioners of Sampson County shall be elected for terms of four years each."

Sec. 2. All laws and clauses of laws in conflict with this Act are hereby repealed.

Sec. 3. This Act shall be in full force and effect from and after its ratification.
