AN ACT TO PROHIBIT HUNTING IN GATES COUNTY WITH FIREARMS OTHER THAN SHOTGUNS AND RIFLES OF .22 CALIBER OR LESS.

 

The General Assembly of North Carolina do enact:

 

Section 1. It shall be unlawful for any person, association of person or any firm or corporation to hunt anywhere in Gates County with firearms other than shotguns and rifles of .22 caliber or less.

Sec. 2. Any person, association of persons, or any firm or corporation violating the provisions of this Act shall be guilty of a misdemeanor, and upon conviction shall be fined a sum not to exceed fifty dollars ($50.00) or imprisoned for a period not to exceed thirty (30) days, or both, in the discretion of the court.

Sec. 3. All laws and clauses of laws in conflict with this Act are hereby repealed.

Sec. 4. This Act shall be in full force and effect from and after its ratification.
